Extension Works of 11th Metro Line from Pan Bendito to Carabanchel Alto
The extension of line 11, which starts from the Pan Bendito station, represents the interconnection of the neighborhoods of the Southwest area of Madrid with the rest of the Metro network.
The Southwest Zone of Madrid, encased between the Toledo and Extremadura Motorways, has been, until recently, deficient in high-capacity transport.
This action will improve the communication of the area between the Manzanares River and Leganés. Neighborhoods such as Eugenia de Montijo, Pan Bendito, Abrantes and the PAU of Carabanchel will have a modern, accessible and safe Metro that will cover their current and future transport needs.
Line 11 will run from the Pan Bendito station to the center of Carabanchel Alto, through the construction of two kilometers of tunnel and two new stations, and to the PAU of Carabanchel, with 1km more tunnel and a new station.

From the bottom of the sack of the now existing tunnel, the route will take an east-west direction. Follow the Avenida de los Poblados, where a station will be located, and then cross that avenue and enter the center of the old town of Carabanchel Alto, with the second station in the vicinity of the Plaza de la Emperatriz.

Finally, it arrives at the PAU of Carabanchel, where the last station is located, between Avenida de la Peseta and Salvador Allende Street.
The design of the stations has been carried out with the criteria applied to those of more recent construction, placing them at the shallowest possible depth and facilitating movements with escalators and elevators, so that they are accessible to all people.
